Livestock CompetitionSmall AnimalsAll types of livestock can be seen on exhibit at the Tanana Valley State Fair. Poultry and rabbits fill the Largen Barn along with goats entered in the American Dairy Goat Association sanctioned goat show. Many different breeds of poultry are on exhibit including chickens, ducks, and geese. The Pet Show is a big hit with exhibitors of all ages! Agricultural Livestock 4H members vie for Championship Awards in the Livestock Show ring. Beef, veal, swine, and sheep are on exhibit in the Delta Barn throughout the Fair. Stop by and watch the Market Livestock being weighed in by the Alaska Farm Bureau on Friday August 1 from Noon until 5 PM. Registration Registration for Livestock is on Saturday, July 26, from noon until 7 PM at the Largen Barn on the Fairgrounds. Animals will be delivered to the Fairgrounds on Friday, August 1, between noon and 5 PM and Saturday, August 2, between 7 AM and 11 AM.
