PolarNet, Inc. is a locally owned Alaska corporation. PolarNet was founded in 1994 by Jay Beavers, Tracy Beavers, Douglas Toelle and Kelly Wien-Toelle to bring Internet access to Alaska's Interior.

PolarNet's staff has many years of combined global networking experience as well as extensive backgrounds in operating systems, hardware, software, graphic design, marketing, customer service, training and management.

PolarNet goes well beyond its staff of twelve. PolarNet is proud of its close association with other Fairbanks businesses and individuals including Pat Babcock, Fairbanks author and artist, ComputerLand of Fairbanks, Fairbanks MUS Telecommunications, Net Tech, Blues Computing and Zookerman Communications.
