most of October we spent replacing the right head gasket on the 4 runner. Also got a new power steering pump.

The oil was changed at the end of it. I changed oil in both cars earlier in the summer but I don’t remember the date. I’m so behind on my notes.

I think I’ll move the ‘maintenance’ notes to my new geek blog… WordPress is the new spiral notebook. Only I never actually wrote in spiral notebooks or any sort of journal for as long or consistently as I’ve been using WordPress, especially at work..

I upgraded this blog to WordPress 2.0.3 and finally got it subversionized. I had to check it out fresh.

I think this will be the ticket to upgrade to a new release when it becomes available:

svn switch http://svn.automattic.com/wordpress/tags/2.0.4/ .

That way I will not get the bleeding-edge trunk like I do at work.

Changed oil in both vehicles on Saturday. Beren worked on the Pelican with Grandpa and is so excited about going fishing in a couple of weeks.

I also cleaned the chimney, on Tuesday night… would’ve been April 25th.

On Saturday, with Beren’s help. Maybe the 4Runner tonight.

Also, I hid the ‘Maintenance’ category from my front page (yay) with this snip of php:

Stayed home all day. Dad V was a champ and helped me change the filters finally, past my “one month” guideline but he said, “until they start hampering the air flow to the furnace, the dirtier they are the more they catch” so I didn’t feel so bad.

We also had a good red Thai curry dinner and the second good music session in a week, these winter days are good for something.
